Wesport are looking for an individual to run social tennis activities across the tennis courts that we manage in parks across Bristol (Eastville, Canford, Redcatch and St George).
We have run a variety of activities and events at different sites that have engaged the parks tennis court users and provided an opportunity for individuals to meet other players. Activities have included Meet and Greets, American Doubles and Big Tennis Weekends.
We would like to build on the success and expand this offer, making the opportunities a more regular occurrence.
In addition to these sessions, the individual will also support the successful delivery of our community tennis sessions such as Tennis & Talk Mental Wellbeing and our disability inclusive sessions.
The successful individual would be great at making people feel welcome and comfortable. Can think on their feet and ensure activities are tailored to meet the needs of all attending. Is self-motivated and can drive their own programme of activities.
A minimum of a Level 1 coaching qualification is desirable but not essential as this is not a coaching role. Full financial support will be provided to gain an LTA Level 1 coaching qualification if desired.
The number of hours will vary depending on the programme and the time of year. Depending on the availability and flexibility of the individuals applying, it may be offered to more than one person.
The suitable candidate will be required to undertake a DBS check prior to commencing the role. This role is self-employed and payment will be made via invoice to Wesport. The individual will set a programme of activities and sessions that meet the needs of the parks tennis players and the local community in conjunction with Wesport.
